Practicing your Golf Game
There is a good way to develop your golf game and you can do it right in your yard and your living room. Here are a few tips to assist you practice golf in a better way and improve your game.
Practice your stroke right inside on a putting mat or just simply on the carpet. This is one of the most important parts of your golf game and you need to practice it more than anything else. Even 10 minutes a day will make a huge difference over time and you will roll in more birdies and save more pars.
Practicing your game in the yard, Those little wiffle balls are okay for practice, but they don’t feel like a golf ball and when we talk about a better way to practice golf you need what is called a Birdie Ball. This is a training aid that feels like you are hitting a regular golf ball, but it will only fly 30 to 40 yards maximum. This is why it is great for backyards. You can set up a chipping net, get a dozen birdie balls, and chip to your net.
If you have enough room, about 20 yards, then you can practice the bottom half of your swing by going ahead and doing a drill called toe up to toe up. Basically you are going to swing a wedge or 9 iron back till the toe points to the sky, about hip high, then again through till the toe again points to the sky, about hip high again. This will really help you with your pitching and your full swing on the course. If you do this with the birdie balls you will not have to worry about breaking windows or upsetting your neighbors.
